CyberTex Institute of Technology Cybertex Institute of Technology gives students training and know-how, through nationally-accredited programs to transition into high-tech and medical careers. Austin and Killeen Campuses both train students in this fast-growing part of Central Texas, including veterans who are using their post-9/11 GI Bills and VOC Rehab to enter our programs and transform their lives. Students in a four-year college are still trying to determine what they want to do—can take advantage of its pace and its wide range of required classes to sample topics and discover what they like to do. Our students are looking to change careers or are wanting to move from what they consider to be merely a “job” to a full-fledged career. They’ve determined there’s a promising future in Health Care or IT careers, and they want to get into the job market as soon as they possibly can. List of programs offered at both Campuses Network Engineer Program WHY BE A NETWORK ENGINEER? Be a hero, technically! Solve tech problems in one of the fastest growing industries. Network Engineer jobs are projected to grow 13% through 2026. WHAT YOU’LL DO Build and solve problems using hardware and software. Learn about servers, security, and the foundations of technical and customer support. You will learn how to install, configure and support servers, local and wide area networks. Specific topics include network monitoring, performance testing, network environment management, network and infrastructure security measures and much more. CERTIFICATIONS Train and take 8 certifications exams CompTIA IT Operations Specialist, CompTIA A+, Security+, MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator), MCTS (MS Certified Technical Specialist, Linux+, Network+, CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist. In a little more than nine months, students can develop knowledge in the building blocks that IT professionals should have on board and take the certification exams demonstrating that they have that knowledge. Medical Assistant Program WHY BE A MEDICAL ASSISTANT? Healthcare is one of the fastest growing industries. You will help keep people healthy and companies equipped with the info they need to do business. WHAT YOU’LL DO You’ll learn anatomy, patient care and clinical skills as well as get on-the-job experience via our externship program. As a medical assistant you’ll perform clinical or administrative tasks in doctor’s offices, hospitals or the healthcare facility in which you choose to work. Clinical medical assistants also can perform lab tests and take X-rays, remove stitches and draw blood, while administrative medical assistants schedule appointments, update EHRs, help with insurance forms and ICD-10 coding for patient procedures. You’d also help keep the office running smoothly, by ordering supplies and handling paperwork. CERTIFICATIONS By the end of the 37 week course you will be prepared for up to 6 certification exams, including Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) & Certified EKG Technician (EKG).
