Esthetics/Skin Care Programs

Training to become an esthetician or skin care specialist can open up many career options. To become licensed in a state, students must go to a state recognized school and complete a certain number of hours before completing the state certification test, which is usually comprised of a written section and a practical exam section. Esthetician training course work covers many beauty subjects including facials, hair removal, make-up, massage, and chemical peels. Once licensed, an esthetician may get a job in a salon, working in a dermatologist’s office, or working freelance jobs.
